On 13 and 23 March 2017, Olimex Ltd was visited by students from vocational school “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov “- Vidin in partnership with schools from Linz/Austria, Papa/Hungary, Tabor/Czech Republic, Sturovo /Slovakia, Ljubljana/Slovenia and Lugoj/Romania under the project Enhanced Skills, Competence and Practice for the Economy * ESCAPE * /”Improving Skills and Competencies and Good Practices for the Economy”/. The aim of the project is to encourage cooperation among young people along the Danube river. Students have become acquainted with the history, the company structure and the technology of producing the rich assortment of products of the company – sunflower bakery kernels, crude and refined oil, husk pellets, sunflower meal and cake. The students had the opportunity to visit “Sunflower bakery kernels workshop” and the oil refinery. Each pupil was given a package of sunflower bakery kernels as a compliment from the company’s management.
